At the end of January 2019 Andrzej Kaźmierski was dismissed from the position of the Ministry’s of Energy Director of Renewable Energy and Distributed Generation Department.

He was replaced by Piotr Czopek, former Head of the Department, working in Ministry of Energy since 2015.

Kaźmierski held the position in Ministry of Energy since March 2016. He took the position after Edward Słoma, who directed the Department on a temporary basis following the dismissal of Janusz Pilitowski, employed by Ministry of Economy, dissolved at the end of 2015.
