The IIIrd edition of the IREW Prize contest is settled. The prize award ceremony was held by a famous TV presenter, Maciej Orłoś on 22 May 2012 during a ceremonial Gala Dinner accompanying the VIIth PWEA Conference&Exhibition. 

The IREW Prize was awarded to:

Piotr Siergiej from Gazeta Wyborcza for a series of articles featuring renewable energy, for commitment to the subject, sound substantive knowledge and an interesting form.

The Jury decided to award three equivalent commendations:

Joanna Trynieszewska and Joanna Klimowska-Kronic from TVP Szczecin for the “Podmuch Energii” (“A blow of energy”) movie. The Jury valued a very good scenario conveying a clear message as well as good and interesting narration.

Katarzyna Hejna from “Newseria” news agency for an interesting presentation of the reasons for the occurrence and existence of barriers to wind energy development, with particular regard to the importance of local governments.

Michał Perliński for a blog featuring wind energy: www.wiatrowa.blox.pl The blog features exceptionally educational approach to wind energy, well-developed and described – a true compendium for everyone who starts to interest in wind energy.
