Elawan Energy Polska Sp. z o. o. (formerly Gestamp Eolica Polska Sp. z o. o.) is part of one of the largest Spanish industrial groups, Acek Desarrollo y Gestión Industrial (formerly Corporación Gestamp). Elawan Energy develops, finances, builds and operates projects in the field of renewable energy sources (wind projects, as well as photovoltaic and mini-hydroelectric power plants). Elawan Energy is currently present in 14 markets around the world: it operates in Spain, Belgium, France, Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey, USA, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia and South Africa. Since its establishment in 2008, Elawan Energy has built installations producing electricity from renewable sources with a total installed capacity of over 1.3 GW. In addition, further assets with an installed capacity of 249 MW are under construction, and projects with a planned installed capacity of 7.3 GW are also in various stages of development.
